Phyllis Johnson is the president of BD Imports, a coffee retailer with a focus on social responsibility, and a member of the NCA Board of Directors. 

Here, she talks about the unique opportunities to connect at at the NCA Annual Convention, which will be held this year in New Orleans, March 15-17.

What makes the NCA Convention such a special networking event?

Johnson: “The NCA Convention is filled with people who are very passionate about coffee.

“It allows me an opportunity to enter into deep conversations: I can talk about the things I’m working on, I can talk about my business, my interests, how I see coffee. And I can get that perspective from others. [It’s] a very experienced and intense conversation on the subject of coffee.”
