Grounds for Health

Cervical cancer is one of the world’s deadliest – but most easily preventable – forms of cancer.

In 2016, Grounds for Health will strive to screen 18,500+ and treat at least 2,300 women. This plan will double their reach in the struggling communities that are disproportionately affected by the disease.

A generous donor has agreed to match all holiday contributions to the nonprofit, dollar-for-dollar, up to $75,000. This means a potential of $150,000 to provide critical health services to coffee-farming women. Your support will have twice the impact.

International Women’s Coffee Alliance

When women acquire the tools to grow better coffee, negotiate prices, or even build their own coffee mill, they typically reinvest 90% of their income in their families and community.

Puppies and coffee – what’s not to love?

The Grounds & Hounds Coffee Co. donates 20% of profits gained through the sale of fresh-roasted Fair Trade, organic coffee to no-kill rescue organizations nationwide that provide safe haven, medical attention and adoption services for pooches in need.

 

The Bee Cause Project

Honey bees are a critical link in U.S. agriculture (and coffee production), yet their populations are plummeting due to what the USDA calls a “mystery problem.”

The NCA partnered with the Bee Cause Project at Middleton Place in South Carolina for our Annual Coffee Gives Back Day of Service at the NCA 2015 Annual Convention. Volunteers from across the coffee industry worked together to help build a sanctuary for these important pollinators.

Jars of Bee Cause Honey are available online. All proceeds will be donated to the Bee Cause Project to help fund the installation of classroom observation hives in 1,000 schools across America.
